The day job.

I am taking three classes: a fiction workshop; a loosely formed seminar on the creative process; and "Medieval Dream Visions," a traditional graduate class which I am likely to do poorly in but still want to take. It sounds delicious. I wish my day job were as joyful. To digress, Austin has now has his grad school orientation, and I understand that immediately after, everyone headed to the bar across the street. Bars and grad school must, I therefor assume on my statistically accurate datapoints of 2, be a thing. :)

I was assured by a doctoral candidate that sociology grad students drink much more than we writers do.

I hate to think it was Wolfram's class you transferred out of...although I understand not liking any subject, I just really do think he has some great insights. And the lit class sounds fascinating too.

He is an amazing teacher! It was a hard call, but, whoa, dream visions.

He teaches every fall, so perhaps I will take it next year.

I'm in the second semester of a Master's program after finishing my Bachelor's fifteen years ago. And I'm loving it! Nothing quite like being in the university environment for meeting interesting people and opening up new lines of thought.

And this is why I've worked at a college for so long. Free classes. Too bad there's that whole working between the classes thing I still have to do.
