Aria had her first swimming lesson today. The swim school (La Petite Baleen in San Bruno) accepts students starting at 2 months old, and it just happens that her first lesson was on her 2 month birthday. We both had a great time. She really seems to love the water. I think she'd prefer a non-chlorinated pool, but I don't know where to find one ( Read more... )

Aria and I have been using a new tie for our wrap sling, and it's so versatile! I can pop her in and out of it really easily, I can let her arms be free for awake time (so she can be more active and explore the world) and tuck her arms and head in for sleeping time. I just found yesterday a way to hold her front-facing with the same tie in a way ( Read more... )

I went to the dentist and my step-dad Terry came with to watch Aria. She was happy for a while, but it soon became clear that she needed her mommy. While they were setting up for the next stage, I nursed her then handed her back. But she was still not content, so Terry brought her into the exam room with me and sat her on my lap, and she was happy ( Read more... )

Aria's 2 month birthday is coming up quickly, and that's when the US starts their regular vaccination schedule, so we have to make some decisions. Today is David's first day back at work after our glorious 3-week babymoon. So far Aria and I are doing well. I even cooked myself eggs and toast for breakfast. When she's sleeping, I can carry her in the sling, and then I have two hands available.
