Mostly for my own records

Suley slept last night (nursing intermittently) from 8:30 to 9:30 this morning, getting up briefly to be the welcoming party when Tad got home at 3:30.

He napped for an hour today at around one, and an hour and a half starting at six.

I don't think there's any such thing as a "pattern" when it comes to babies. They sleep, they don't sleep. They start doing something one way, then they change. Both kids took good naps for a while at his age, and then...no naps. Sometimes it's developmental, sometimes they just aren't tired. You are but they're cooking with gas. Go figure. Didya get my last email about getting together? Yay or nay? Or does Tad's new schedule bollocks the works?

I did and it did. Sorry about that -- the first thing I do when things get crazy is start neglecting my inbox. At the moment I have NO IDEA what his schedule will be even this week -- but Suley and I can come without him no prob. The other issue right now is that kitsch_witch's mother fell and broke her arm week before last and she is staying with them. So I would say let's plan for later rather than sooner, and I'll get with everyone and see what works.

Also, why must you always bring reality into the discussion?

Also also, Ian Mouer wanted me to let you know about his upcoming 40th birthday bash. More to follow in email.

Reality is my middle name. But, sorry. Which reality are you speaking of, though? The FACT that babies just do whatever the fuck they want to and we have NO control over them or our lives ever ever again? That reality? That one kinda sucks. Perhaps if we reverse their polarity we might get somewhere.

Anyway - yeah, end of May, most of June are pretty open for me. Sundays are good since I'm a heathen (and, you know, if you need to be excused from Soffee Meal, I'm always happy to oblige).

Ian wants me to come to his 40th? I'm....gonna have to think that one through.

Annie slept from 7:30 last night to 8:30 this morning nursing once at 12:30 (not even awake) and then her usual times in the early morning (4am and about 7am.) Usually she sleeps from 10:30 to 8 with some dream nursing around 4 and then 7am. I was shocked she fell asleep so early and slept for so long. She napped for an hour while I was running errands and is once again napping in my arms.

At present -- and I stress at present, for things do change frequently (and usually without notice) -- CJ is sleeping from about 9:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., with a nap from about 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. and then another nap from about 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.. Sometimes he wakes up once or twice during the night, sometimes he doesn't.

Ooh! now I think that Mr. FP is not just sick (though I think he has a little cold like me), but going through an Evil Phase. Not eating - check. Not sleeping - check. Must be held and coddled nearly constantly - check. Vile tempered - check.

Must look for more new tricks.

Ian: woke up EVERY 45 MINUTES at night until he was 6 months old. Of course he was the Reflux King, and bottle fed. yech. We let him semi CIO *hangs head in shame* one night. He cried for 10-15 minutes, slept 4 hours, cried 10, slept 7, and slept through the night thenceforth until he was about 2.5, had a couple of months of night terrors, and is sleeping merrily again. (he is 3). He still takes about a 2 hour nap every day around 1p ( ... )
