My father has passed away.
Today my mother brought his ashes home.
She will eventually scatter them in the Pacific Ocean.
I am profoundly sad.....
I know so many other people who had a parent with cancer and they have ALL gone into remission. But no such luck for me...........

Came to Hayward to watch Team USA beat Team Canada in hockey. It was good to spend some time with him - tho he really looks skinny. It's almost been a year since he was diagnosed with cancer - I'm hoping he'll beat the odds and live twice as long as they said he would. That would mean we'd get another year......

I'm thankful for
still having my father here with me
having my job - and benefits!
still saving money - still hoping to buy that house
for my friends
for one 'special' friend who shall remain nameless for right now....
looking forward to the new year and hopefully many changes!

20 years ago yesterday we had a big ass earthquake.
Last Tuesday - as a little reminder - there was a small (3.7) earthquake out at Sunol.
It also rained like it had been pent up for far too long and my little street looked like a regular river.....

I had to have a tooth pulled today....not good.
My dad is still alive.....good.

It's National Eating Disorder Awareness week. I am grateful that I am in a position to be less aware of my problem right now. Somehow I'm coming out of my melancholy. Not sure why because it's been raining for days. I'm feeling hopeful nonetheless.....

I don't even know where to start but I need to get some of this stuff written down so I can deal with it.
Maybe later when I'm not supposed to be working....

It smells like I'm living in the middle of a smoldering campfire - but with none of the benefits of sitting around a campfire.....
Yuck!
