(OOC: If you want to be a part of this away mission, please read the whole post including OOC comments at the end for all information, captains orders, etc.)Kirk stared down at the ice planet on the forward view screen unhappily. He didn't have the best relationships with ice planets, and the idea of going down to this one had him less than pleased

"Jim!" he called out, crawling on his stomach toward the bump in the snow that he hoped was Jim. His gloved hands reached out and felt Jim's body, and Bones sighed with relief.

But he didn't want to get up. He was cold and stiff, and his muscles ached. He wanted them to come to him. Spock reached out to grab a small bone off the ground, and weakly lobbed it through the slats of the rib cage. It turned over itself into the open space beyond the skeleton, and then skittered across the stone ground.

"Over there!" he called to Jim, as he made his way to Spock's side. He was like ice, cold and barely conscious, Bones noted as he pulled out his medical tricorder and began taking readings of the frozen man on the floor.

Bones pulled out his communicator, resting one hand on Spock's chest. "McCoy to Enterprise, emergency beam up, three to Sickbay."
But no one replied.

Bones sat up and pulled Spock close to him, settling him between his legs, back to chest. He had some warming packs, yes, and those went straight into Spock's hands, one inside each boot, but body heat- even as little as Bones could provide under his layers of clothing - simple proximity would allow them to share body heat, make the packs last longer if they were stuck down here.
But Spock was still so sluggish. Bones really didn't want to take off his gloves, but he slipped them off, unzipping Spock's outer jacket and feeling underneath, searching for skin. "Fuck," he breathed, really unhappy with how cold the abdomen was, rubbing his hands along the muscles to try and get the blood flowing again. "Talk to me Spock, say something." How 'bout this, can ( ... )

"Bones, I'm gonna strip down and get in here," he pointed to the strange concoction of silvery material. "Get him in next to me, then do the same. Should keep the cold out, but a tight fit." He met Bones' eyes, a little scared but determined. There wasn't anything they could do with all this bulk between them and their body heat and Spock's skin. "Heat packets'll last longer in here."
Jim let out a breath, then whispered a curse as the first bite of really cold hit him as he undid his jacket, scrambling.

What is Jim doing? He asked, one eye cracked open to watch Jim. He will get cold if he continues like this.
A faint rumble sounded from his throat. It made him feel warmer, more comfortable, and the issue of dignity didn't even cross his mind.

He's got one of his hare-brained plans, Bones said fondly, more thankful that Spock was communicating coherently than anything else. Not that he doubted Jim's plan - that silver material, Bones knew about it, had even experienced using it before for medical purposes. Just never thought it would be him inside it, trying to warm up a Vulcan.
You're not gonna like it, but we gotta take this off too, and get you in there with him. Bones said, watching as Jim quickly took his clothes off. It didn't look like there was much room in there.

"Leonard." Unenthusiastic.

Spock would know that they had to be nude otherwise the sweat would make them even colder later. Within a few seconds, and despite an unhelpful Vulcan not assisting in any way, Bones had him undressed and was scooting him into the bag next to Jim.
