This is a massive fit of giggles! I personally don't think I want to make 112 cookies in one go! Both sound like pretty good recipies but the David-Goliath overtones just make it friggin' hilarious.

Yeah, that's a little much isn't it? Coercing people into a battle over cookies and cake is kind of hilarious. Fight the sweet, sweet power!

Yeah >_< I'll have to wait til I live somewhere with a peoper oven again. Blah.

I will come and visit you! But I'm not sure when yet. I'm going home for a bit in the summer to visit the family, and August is full of stupid conferences (downside of JET). It's probably best if you get all settled in first, too, because I don't know the first thing about korea aside from that there is good duty free shopping in the international terminal of the big airport. I might pop by for a weekend sometime in the early fall? But we'll be able to keep in contact and arrange something via lj/e-mail for sure! *hugs*

Congrats again! I'm so excite you'll be almost in the same time-zone as me! <3

Heh. Next time I go on a baking spree, I shall make both, and let you know. I got this email years ago, and was tempted to make the cookies, but never did.

Curiously, the first one listed (except the coffee powder) is almost totally identical to the recipe for my mom's/grandma's chocolate chip cookies. So delicious~.

That is very strange. And cool :D They must be awesome cookies since it seems NM had that recipe custom made after the scandal! I must try this recipe sometime then.

Congrats on the spam message, heh.

As for the individual going to Daegu, I've got some connections in Busan if you want detailed info on the ferries/travel to Busan from Daegu, etc. My homestay sister for the last 2 years is from Ulsan (near Busan) and went to Busan University, so she's a local, definitely, and has been Canadianized enough to understand us/explain any culture issues you might have.

From what I've heard, the ferry to japan is very regular, and it's one I'm planning on using once I get over there, to visit my dear JamTart. :p Oh, for time to speed up and my degree to finish itself. *sighs*
Only about a year and a half more, I think.

Your Fruitcake,

Karina.
