I know, I haven't been around much....

Things are going. My new job is ok. Better than direct care. Seems to be a fairly good company. The work load is heavy, but I get paid because I am good at what I do. I don't mind working.

Shane and I are going to look at motorcycles tomorrow. He wants one and we really do need a second vehicle now.

Life....

Life can be too much at times. I have started my new job. It will be fine. It is a totally new set of skills, but there is nothing I can't do, so I will learn and eventually I will be very good at it. So, I am officially sick. Shane called and made Travis take me to the Immediate Care Center yesterday. (Shane is in Indy for WM/DM). My temperature was 102.9, I have a "raging" UTI that has moved into one kidney and I may be septic. They tried to take blood multiple times, but I am so dehydrated, they couldn't get any. For those who don't know, my sister passed away last Friday. This is probably the hardest thing I have ever had to endure. I'm struggling with grief. Thank you to my friends who have reached out to me during this time. I know grief is scary, and I can only assume that is why so many people have avoided me. Things aren't going so great.....

My sister had surgery last Friday. They cut her spinal cord to try and eliminate the severe pain she has been in, that has not responded to pain medication. She got through the surgery well. She was still in a lot of pain, but that was expected. I got a call from my Mom Tuesday night that she was not doing well. I ( Read more... )

I'm back in Texas. At work. 6 more work days. Things went ok with the surgery. We'll see if they got the results they hoped for. I am exhausted (emotionally and physically). I might post later. Just don't have the energy for it right now.

Please keep my family, but especially my sister, in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow. She will be having major back surgery in the morning. They are going to sever her spinal cord, as a last resort to try and control her pain. She has been paralyzed from the waist down since birth, so they don't expect her to lose any functioning. I accepted the position Friday afternoon. They offered me more money than I asked for, and approved 6 days I need off over the next 5 months that I won't have the vacation time for.
