I don't watch wrestling (and that's not gonna change), but I gotta admit a feeling of respect for this guy.

I used to watch WWF Smackdown with my brothers when I was younger and I remember that particular guy. Thats pretty cool to hear about a celebrity like that helping out towards that cause instead of being accused of participating in the act.

Yeah, I thought that was a nice change of pace, too.

I also love the idea of this guy meeting Tori Amos. Oh, to be a fly on the wall...

I don't watch the stuff either, but my wife does. Foley is surprisingly well written... here is his article on meeting Tori.

That was lovely. No, I'm not sniffling because I'm catching a cold...

I, on the other hand, am an old rasslin' fan, and Mick is one of the greats, and there's much prior evidence that he's a good guy. This just adds to that. :)

I was going to say something similar. Mick has always been a good guy.

I saw Mick Foley on Jon Stewart where he mentioned RAINN and his support. I used to be wrestling fan-adjacent for a bit of time and he always struck me as one of the niftier actors who fling themselves about a padded ring.
Imagining him listening to Tori Amos before a match body slams the dominant paradigm- yay! Hearing him say that he geeked out when he met her? Made my week.

My former roommate's ex-wife went out with Mick Foley a few times in college. Imagine her surprise when she saw him on TV for the first time...LOL

I've never been into wrestling, but I read his autobiography after read the excerpt about meeting Tori Amos and it was really compelling and well written. I couldn't have told you who half the people in the book were, still don't care about watching wrestling but as a life story it was fascinating.
