Well, the new bed is here, delivered by the elves this morning. I am super excited by the possibility of sleeping the night through for the first time in well over a month! Today I got my ass handed to me in Scrabble. That Mike can play. Usually it's a reasonably close game, but today it was an absolute rout: he got 275, I got 207. I have yet to defeat him!

Spent the day bathed in sunshine. My folks took me sailing on the Ottawa river. We were going for just a bit, because there was probably not going to be much wind. I did very little. I feel great. I am going to try and make some positive changes in my self and my life starting in September (starting with trying not to be a complete hermit for a change!) but for this weekend I was content to just relax and enjoy, and not really accomplish anything.

For the past few months I've been having increasingly painful back problems in the morning. So, I've been trying different things because I've felt this before, and it meant my bed was the problem. So my four consecutive days off (including the weekend)are now over. See I only get 2 real vacation days because I am using the rest of them to get some more schooling later in the year...sad, but necessary.
