So, I went to the store and found some whitefish I could use for soup. Yay! I made my rounds, picking up things I might want to use in said soup. I discovered they sell celery by the stick, which is really nice since I rarely use that much celery at any one time. I nabbed a few other things and went to the counter. Dogs...they are here and they wear shoes
I was walking back from the grocery store (they had melon bread today! Yay!) and I saw a weimaraner walking kinda funny-like. As I got closer, I noticed that it was wearing shoes. I've seen small dogs in shoes before. Never anything so big as a weimaraner, though. It was surreal. -
Shiso
So, I saw some shiso leaves at the store and got excited. I bought them on a whim because I'd have random cravings for rice and shiso leaves at home, but I could never get them from any of the local Asian grocers ( Read more... ) -

I recently ate my breakfast of Calbee's Brown Sugar (pretty much a Japanese Frosted Flakes) and now I'm watching children talking to animate chairs on TV.
I'm definitely in Japan.
...and a giant cactus person with a stomach ache just walked onto the TV and the chair keeps telling it hello and goodbye...
