No posting as of late due to being immensely busy, however I've had to spend all of today huddled up due to sickness, oh the inconvenience! Thought I'd take the opportunity to post about the last two events I went to.
Apologies for any incoherence, this illness is ridiculous.

This was an issue for you at event 6 as well, as I recall (though party central was a damn sight closer to your sleeping place that time). Kicking back after Time Out is a long standing practice in LRP and it's a simple fact that some people are more prepared to give up sleep than others. Have you considered ear-plugs? Available from any chemist and actually remarkably comfortable.
The only buzz-kill for me is post event when I see all the posts about how amazing M, H(en), and T are, which means I have to acknowledge how I'm... not. :P My first instinct was to say "It's not a competition!", but that wouldn't be true: Insurrection totally _is_ a competition. Still, your character and all of the characters you name in initials are (or were) on the same team and just because Herenya gets less R7 mention than some others doesn't mean she's less awesome. Far from it! As one of the three 'whole campaign' veterans, ( ... )

A lot of it is frustration that it always seems to be our camp... its like punishment for being good hosts. Though frustratingly there's rarely a proper oc type 'social area' so no clear place to redirect people to.
As for earplugs, I've had a lot of problems with my ears in the past, and I really wouldn't feel comfortable risking it tbh.
As one of the three 'whole campaign' veterans, she's obviously doing a good job without attracting too much attention/aggro...Well the veteran part is why it's so conspicuous, as the rest of you get so much adulation, and have done so many fantastic things- and the plot ( ... )

Heck, people are even so used to my IC skills now that there's just no more credit to be had there, and getting to turn someone down for healing made my day.Ah, see, now it's not that they're used to your skills - it's that they're used to you giving the benefit of them just because those skills are needed. I've long been averse to the "Medic! Heal! Good dog!" attitude and can't work out why people play characters whose _sole_ reason to exist is to heal the fighters. IMO, a PC should be a hell of a lot more than his/her character stats/skills, and Herenya absolutely is. Hendrik was so goddamn proud of her over the WVF/Majesty enforced healing thing. It's as a direct consequence of that that I was able to hire the wood elves for next to nothing and two of theirs died rather than two Wayfarers ( ... )

Generally I refuse to heal people who refers to me as medic, and have in the past made a point of laughing and walking off when the WVF need healing.

Thankyou, I just don't see it myself. I know that being in the same group means I've got a hard crowd to match up to, but she just feels utterly un-dynamic and flat to me, and I honestly think that's how she seems to most other people. Plus, if I ever did anything of interest I wouldn't have never, ever had plot (particularly embarrassing considering how long I've been there).
In short, consider Herenya's medical ability as a marketable skill. Why on earth would she give it away without there being a direct/immediate/tangible recompense? And should her expertise be somehow compelled, how should anyone expect _but_ but that there would be some kind of reaction from her allies?I do think I healed a lot less people last event ( ... )
