Congratulations!

It is great that your mother-in-law helped you for the first few weeks after the hospital. Raising a baby is tiring and exhausting, especially the first one when one is learning as you go, and one shouldn't expect any perfection whatsoever. It does get better though. I hope the borders will open soon so your Mom could help as well. (I know that my mother helped me immensely just by cooking and taking care of the house).

I added you to DW just in case something happens to LJ but I use both platforms for now.

They're opening next month to let students and business visa holders in, so hopefully by April or May my mother can make it. I don't know why, but something about having a child has really made me miss having someone of my own culture around. There are almost no Puerto Ricans here.
