I'm stitching an afghan. I don't mean a person from Afghanistan.
First thing, for those non-stitchy readers, an afghan is like a blanket, or a bedspread. The one I'm stitching on at the moment is really lovely thick almost woolen fabric. Starting karate again :)
I'm going to be starting karate again :) I've emailed and spoken on the phone to the regional manager of the club I used to train with, he's going to send me a class schedule and a new membership card. I've bought a gi and some mitts and pads. I'm going to need to buy a club badge for my gi, and to sew up the sleeves and legs of the trousers ( Read more... ) -

We went to Mal and Katy's wonderful wedding this weekend, in lovely Cornwall. Well, what we saw of it was lovely, we were mostly travelling through on the way to the hotel/church/reception venue, then back to the hotel, then home. Katy looked like a princess from a fairy tale. Need more batteries...
So, here's the thing. I tried to take pictures of my stashgasm joy...but the poor camera saw how much more there was to come and gave up. I need more batteries for it, I'm going to Tesco in a bit anyway, so hopefully pictures will follow ( Read more... )
