"Hm. She's a nice one. Slightly out of it, but knows a bit about this 'computer' thing. Very helpful actually. I'm... a little taken back by just how nice she is. And no one's ever invited me out on an excursion before... She... reminds me a little of Estelle, to tell you the truth. She's also not really interested in technology, I think. Not that I blame her, but it's a little disappointing.
But you know what's even more disappointing? How she's all... how do I put this? She just doesn't seem to have any confidence in herself at all. I mean, she can cast nify magics - not as well as I can, obviously, but you can't expect everyone to be a genius - and she's a nice girl, always thinking about other people. There so much she's capable of accomplishing, so... I really don't get why she can't just trust herself or. Or trust other people, even. It almost feels like she's trying to live for someone else's sake, which is kinda stupid in my opinion, since people can live their own lives just fine without anyone else's help.
... maybe she's lonely. I don't know. Like hell I have the time to dig up all her secrets and solve them for her. But... she's really not a bad kid, kinda like Estelle in that regard, and I just get so frustrated seeing her beat herself up like that, is all. I guess I just get frustrated whenever she tries to 'help' me, when she can't even seem to take care of herself, and I sure as hell don't need it.
Though... I guess letting her help me with my projects isn't too bad of a thing. I mean, she did help me get those camera things, right? I think she just needs to understand that she can appreciate herself, is all. I'm sure I can do something about that, since she obviously can't do anything about it herself, and it's just kinda painful watching her slink around like that. I'll work on that camera - and once I've tinkered out one that's powerful enough, she can have it and she can use it to take pictures of everyone else around her - maybe realize that she's got more people around her than she thinks.

"This kid I met over the dreamberry, after watching a broadcast of him dreaming about ghosts, of all things. Or at least, dreaming that he can see ghosts. Which I doubt he can, seeing as ghosts really don't exist. His parents are ghost-hunters, apparently, which is pretty hilarious all on its own. Doesn't seem too interested in the exchange of information, really, but I did get an interesting tidbit about submarines from him. He also proposed the idea of science working against ghosts, which, despite the fact that ghosts don't exist, is a pretty sweet idea.
Well, at least he liked the cake. He's really reluctant to answer questions, for some reason. He and that red-head both - they've been doing a pretty good job skirting around important topics, and I want to know why, dammit. It's so damn suspicious, and like hell I can just let it go like this, especially since they've been dancing around the topic for ages.
Though apparently, the guy wants to be an astronaut. Travel around in space and perform experiments, and stuff like that. Not a bad ambition. But if he wants to be an astronaut, then he should get his priorities straight, rather than playing around with his friends and stuff. It's not like fooling around is gonna get him any faster to his goal, right? Tried to talk some sense into him, and I hope it sticks. Personally, I'm a little interested in seeing what he can accomplish. "I didn't think it was possible for a being with vocal chords to be so damn loud, but there you have it. Apparently, he's Maka's dad, though it's definitely not something you can tell straight off the bat. Wherever the intelligence gene came from, it sure as hell wasn't here, though hey, if he got Maka interested in books, then I can't complain. "He's calm and gentle. It's actually really easy to talk to him, despite the fact that I've only met him once. Gave me preliminary information on his world and fonons - the theory's incredible. Wish he were more into these things, though. It's getting increasingly hard to find someone who's interested. A religious figurehead, huh. Though when we talked, he seemed rather distant. I'd say he's a little bit of a mystery.
Our worlds seem to have a lot of parallels, actually. They even have something called the Sorceror's Ring, which, while obviously not having the same capabilities as mine, is still pretty weird how something like that can share names across dimensions. This is too much to be coincidence, really.
I really need to do some more investigation on this. If there're connections across worlds in this way, then maybe fairy tales crossing over as extraneous data isn't so far fetched after all."
