Happy 2017! I spent NYE in bed at 8:30 next to Alice; she with Strep and me with some sort of horrible bronchitis-like illness that has completely struck me down. The days of the Zen Baby are on hold as we venture into the "4 month sleep regression." Still, it's nowhere near as nutty as it was with Gabe for a good portion of his first year. These are the days when I'm happy to live only 15 minutes from work. *Splat*

Here we are in February already…I just can’t believe it. The past year has gone by in a blur and I still feel like I haven’t really had the chance to call Pittsburgh my home yet. So, here I am, a week away from going back to work. I've been out of the office for almost 9 weeks (2 weeks working from home before I had Alice and then 7 weeks of maternity leave.) I have never been someone who took much pride in what I do for a living. It's not that I don't have a good work ethic or that I don't strive to be a good employee.
