i read the lovely bones in a matter of hours. & already i can't sit still and want nothing more than to go to barnes & noble. so i think it's time for a reading list, informal, and updated frequently, of the books ( i've read, will read, and want to read )

the lovely bones is..lovely!
hrm you might have read some of these before but:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower/ Stephen Chbosky
Memoirs of a Geisha/ Arthur Golden
The Mists of Avalon/ Marion Zimmer Bradley (this is rather long!)
A Ring of Endless Light/ Madeleine L'Engle (this has been my favorite book since 5th grade. I've read it over 30 times and still love it each time. It's simple, but so lovely.)

Have you read The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula LeGuin? That's the first suggestion book that came to my mind. Or for some philosophy, Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

Damn, that's a hardcore reading list.

I'd rec something, but it's been a very long time since I've read anything that wasn't young adult or for class.

haha, young adult can still be very enjoyable. i have a weakness for certain books that i should clearly be far too old for. <3

Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia by Jean Sasson. might shock ya, but it was really a good read.
