book nerd since '84

i read the lovely bones in a matter of hours. & already i can't sit still and want nothing more than to go to barnes & noble. so i think it's time for a reading list, informal, and updated frequently, of the books ( i've read, will read, and want to read )

i really must start reading. i don't remember when the last time i read a book was, let alone complete one!

oh it's perfectly fine. even i go through phases & get caught up in living.
this summer is just empty & i need something to fill in the nights that i find could be spent no better way than curled up with a book. :)

wow, you read such a wide variety of books. i wish i could sit still and read classics and the in-depth novels, but instead i'm just a sucker for contemporary romance, lol. the kind that you don't have to think about at all and usually has a happy ending. so in case you need any of those light weight books, i recommend:

jemima j. -jane green
the count of monte cristo -alexandre dumas
anything by meg cabot, she writes adorable books.

oh but i adore those books! i devour them, i even skipped class this year to read one of the shopaholic sequels because i thought i could learn more from that then my lecture.
they scream "beach reads" to me & i definately will scatter them in between the tougher books i hope to plow through, so thanks for the suggestions!
does meg cabot write the princess books? i can't recall exactly why her name is so familiar.

i made a list for myself back at my old journal. a few weeks before i made this new one. it consists of 100 titles that were either suggested to me, caught my interest, or ones i've been wanting to read/re-reading for fun. i still have the list saved and if you want i could email it to you. =)
just leave me yr emailaddy please.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams is an excellent book.

Also pretty much anything by Mary Higgins Clark is good. :)
