Things get busier, people get nastier. Then they get offended when, after berating the staff for a solid 10 minutes, none of us feel too much like smiling.

Lily loves wearing fairy costumes and tiaras, and playing with her obnoxious toy gun. This I already knew. More recently she's been going through Kurt's Muppet Show tapes, and has discovered that she likes Blondie and Alice Cooper. Just sent back my third disk from Netflix. Using it to check out some series I've missed out on by not having cable. Cable's too bloody expensive, but Netflix I can afford. So far I've experienced Trueblood and Metalocalypse (don't ask why...). Got Tudors and a bunch of stuff for Lily queued up, too ( Read more... )

So Lily spent part of the morning pretending to be a sausage. I had to rescue her from being cooked and bundle her safely to the 'fridge' (my bed). I, apparently, was a piece of chicken, and Theo a particularly ferocious corn.

Totally out of the old house, anything of any personal value is in the townhouse or storage unit. Good grief, but Kurt has a metric assload of board games... Things aren't terribly organized yet, but it's slowly coming together. Lily's adjusted nicely, I think having a bigger bedroom helped a lot. Back online too, which makes me happy ( Read more... )

Got financial help from HRI for move-in expenses. Signed for the townhouse on Wednesday, and have been moving in a little at a time since. Have a U-Haul reserved for pickup tomorrow at 4pm, and will actually be able to have it for longer than the contracted 24 hours, as they're closed on Sundays.
