Ah, good old insomnia. I feel your pain as I sit here in front of my computer, unable to sleep, ignoring an apartment full of boxes that need unpacking.
I think that when goths go to Halloween parties they should dress preppie. It stands out like a sore thumb if people are not used to it.
The Main Street Lounge is a pretty cool place from what I saw, mainly because they don't charge a cover. That is unheard of out here.
That's right, I forgot about the 4:00am thing. I think it's 2:00am pretty much everywhere else, including here. And don't forget liquor on Sundays! You guys are so lucky.
i'm mostly a DC universe kinda girl. I heart Batman. So several of the Bat Family titles at the moment. Birds of Prey. Justice. Occasionally other character titles. I used to read some Vertigo titles but not so much any more. In the past, I've read Rising Stars and Supreme Powers (which i'm way way behind in). I also read Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men because i loved Fray and followed X-men when i was a teenager.
Justice and BOP have been AWESOME lately. You read Infinite Crisis 1 yet, I didn't think I could like Batman more until I read it, all I gotta say is he verbally burns Superman. You read it and your like DANG Superman just got burned, burned man BURNED. Also towards the end, I am not sure but Nightwing is looking like he might be in some deep, DEEP crap. Astonishing I have been following too but, it seems like it's been FOREVER since the last issue came out.
I hear you about not being motivated to clean up mess. I've got two days to clean up my wreck of an office and I haven't even started. I want to get it clean before I start my backstage thing.
Man. I got poker tonight, otherwise I'd join you guys at the bar. If you have any time free on Friday, I'm free and we have a bunch of gaudy costume jewelry that used to be my grandmother's at my parents' house that you could borrow/have for your costume.

I don't have dinner plans tomorrow, and I'll probably be hanging out at my place when you get off work, so that works well. The costume jewelry is over at my parents', but we can always make a trip over there. I've heard good things about Great Wall, and if not that then there is always Thai Taste, which tempts me every day with its yummy smell coming out the back door and into my office window!

I could always go as amazon jenny or poison ivy.. or do I have to be a prostitute too? amazon jenny could be construed as prostitute.. it's that outfit mom and dad bought me in the carribean or something. I bet Stephen would dress as a pimp and come out if we asked him real nice... or whomever else you prefer. I actually also have a kinda goth prostitute costume I could wear instead. Whatever you think is best :)

at first I read that last line as "... attempt to hit the streets." Which kind of went along with the prostitute theme. But I did find it strange that you would want to do that.
I haven't bought any parts of a costume yet, but I've kind of gone back to my original idea, only turned it into Clifftina Huxtable, who will just sort of be a female version of Cliff Huxtable. but i've been to a couple thrift stores and haven't found any appropriate sweaters. Time's a wastin! I hate shopping between october and January, because first everyone's doing their halloween shopping (at the thrift stores, which is where i shop), and then everywhere you go it's xmas madness.
