Alex's mom is coming to visit from Illinois next Sunday. She's staying for about three days. We don't get to see her very often and this is the first time she will get to see Arianna. So, things are going well so far, I guess... despite the constant kid to the boobs thing and sleep deprivety. We've managed to get by financially the first month of leave... mostly because I did get one full paycheck right when I went out and I just got a partial check that cashed out on whatever vacation time I had left. Arianna had a cardiologist appointment today. They found a heart murmur in the hospital which they did an echocardiogram to check it out. Turns out she has what they call a VSD. Basically she has a very small hole in the wall between her left and right ventricle. Each ventricle carries blood to a different parts of the body (one side to the lungs ( Read more... )

It's been a little over a week since Arianna was born. So far things are going pretty well. She's a lot more chill then Alanah ever was at this age. She pretty much only cries when she is hungry or when she is getting her diaper changed. She loves to be held and very often will want to just be held to sleep after she eats. At my last appointment with the OB on Thursday he told me I was already nearly 3cm dilated and he would probably send me to hospital if I progressed anymore.
