It'll be Sailley or Rannon who come crawling back next, mark my words. Hahaha. Immovan's already showing them up anyway ;D

"A Laskey rifle, if you've got any spare."
*snicker, snicker* Thalian, you owe me.
"No, no, you're right. I'm getting distracted. I've got so much to tell you. What did I get up to?"
He is... uncannily scary when he's in such a pleasant mood... Are you sure he's not contracted a fever? *likes it muchly, though*
"Ah, nice. Saulan Hascott was telling me about his holiday there the other day. You can thank me for those, you know - they weren't always beaches."
Aah... Thalian... I knew I forgot someone when I listed favourite antagonists...
Arathalian was even considerate enough to repeat several points, speaking slowly and clearly for an accurate transcription.
Aww. You're such a sweet thing, Arathalian. *fairly certain she wouldn't trust him one bit*
Nataul had been through plenty of unpleasant Queries, but he had never wanted so desperately to hit the fae with a chair. Or something harder.Oh, yes. Very nasty Thalian. What do you mean 'no plot'? This is ( ... )

-- Oh, no, he has pleasant moods quite frequently ... when something unpleasant is happening/has happened/will happen to Holders >_> *cough*
Heh, yes, I actually think Nataul out-and-out won in the end, which is why I decided to post this, wordybabble and all ... Arathalian gets his own way far too often as is, which is probably one of the reasons Holders have so much trouble dealing with him. It's fun to see him lose ;P
*huggles* Thankees for reading, hon, you are too kind ;) It's fairly old ground by now, the whole Arathalian-needling-at-researchers thing, but I'm just going to bleat 'it's been ages!' for an excuse and hide blushing under my trusty tinfoil sombrero ...

But with a fae, it's (more) ironclad. Even if I was getting flashbacks to Roman History.
-- *cackles a bit at the use of 'ironclad'* Heh, you mean Caesar and the pirates?
I suppose Arathalion knows that.
-- I'm not sure that he would in this case, but if he had known, it's -exactly- the kind of high-minded, mature little thing he'd do, yes ;P
Is there a reason you're repeating '-eyed' here?
-- I wanted to emphasise the fact that Arathalian was staring intently and not very pleasantly without saying 'staring intently and not very pleasantly', mostly just because there's a 'stare' in the next sentence.
Thanks for dropping by and having a read of me spam, me dear, 'tis much appreciated! ;D

"nor by any other means existing now nor yet to exist in future."
I suspect the second "nor" should be an "or".
Very entertaining piece. It's true it's very talky and doesn't have much plot, but the talking is fun to read and it does contribute to the bigger story, both in character development and background information.

You suspect correctly! Well, unless I throw another comma in there, but I don't think I want to pepper the clause THAT much ;P Thankees for that! And thankees very muchly for stopping by (er, two weeks ago *cough*)!
