I hate it when every man and his dog decide to give one medical advice. The favourite one of course is about my obesity, but I've had people advising me about my sleep apnoea too ("you just need to do these breathing exercises"). Yes, I'm one of those people with sleep apnoea - I have very severe sleep apnoea. I would not be able to function without my CPAP machine. But that doesn't mean that everyone who has trouble sleeping has sleep apnoea! I kind of roll my eyes at how "trendy" sleep apnoea has become recently.
But I can tell you right now that I would be so uncomfortable from having a machine strapped onto my face, forcing air into my nose, that I could not sleep.
Yeah. I'm "lucky" in that my sleep apnoea is so severe that even one night on the machine (the night they were testing it in order to calibrate what pressure I needed) -- that one night made me feel better than I had for months and months. So I was highly motivated to stick with the machine through the adjustment period (about six weeks) despite the

Lol, no bevy of fans doing that... It's not just the carpets that need cleaning; I have storage shelves that are dusty from when I had feather-stuffed items. I've tried sleeping with a dust mask on, and...nope.
I am, however, very glad your CPAP works for you. Sleeping face down works for me. Might try one if I *have* to sleep on my back for any length of time...and six weeks of adjustment, yeek! Yeah, if it fixed the problem that well, I'd do it, but frankly, I'm happy sleeping face down. As for AC, I'd love to get those ones that are dual use, heating and cooling...but that's on the list of "If/when I win the lottery" along with a solar panel roof, and a driveway made by those "solar freakin' roadway!" people, so my whole house is powered. Oh, and a vertical (upright spiral, not horizontal props) wind generator, plus geothermal heating maybe. Might as well cover all my bases, lol.
I went back and bought all your books on kindle as well as the paperbacks I have. Every little bit helps? I do hope you find a surgeon to do your surgery soon. Could they do an ablation? My sister had that bleeding issue, it was making her anemic. But instead of a full hysterectomy, they lasered the lining.
I'll take whatever works. They don't know if I have endometriosis, which means they'll probably have to do an exploratory before they consider removal or ablation (lasering/freezing the lining). They did spot a cyst a while back on one ovary...but I do not want my ovaries removed. My ovaries are a vital part of my ability to write smutty stuff, because that's where the sex drive hormones lie. *sigh* Sooo...looking at laparoscopic exploratory with who knows what to follow.
My heart goes out to you. So sorry you're having to go through all this ickiness. I am sending positive vibes your way and will also buy a book. Hang in there.

Eh, I'd settle for winning the lottery.
