I bought a new bright blue Chevy Aveo. Cheap, small, good MPG, 4-door w/hatchback, and decent handling/acceleration for the price. I pick it up tomorrow, and I am *really* excited!

My faithful car has reached her end, 11 years (nearly to the day) from when it was bought. The steering went out and this time it's not just the line, but the rack & pinion assembly AND pump. It'll cost more to fix than she would be worth in trade-in ( Read more... )

I have a job! I start at Dow again, in a different position, on Monday. Not quite sure what I'll be doing, but it sounds important. Yay!!!!

I haven't posted pics of Nimue yet because Livejournal won't let me post a pic from a file. Grr.

As of last night, I am the proud owner of a little kitten we named Nimue. She was found a few days ago by a friend of a friend of Joe's, under a lawnmower. I just got back from the vet, and she seems to be in good shape, if a little underweight. She's 1.3 pounds and just adorable. Pics will follow, probably tonight.
