Yesterday's Hundred Secrets session was somewhat epic, involving as it did the living reflection of a dead centipede god, a secret army, and a set of daring escapes.
( This is not about any of those things. ) -
Definitions of frustration
My birthday present from my parents arrived today. It is in a big box covered with tape saying 'Northern Geological Supplies'.
...it also says 'Do not use a knife to open'.

On the other hand, even the geology tutor has now got in on the act:

Requiring me to locate eight map references on a folding OS-style map in order to answer one multiple-choice question has got to be illegal under the Geneva convention.

Whatever I prep, they do something different and unexpected. That's what I love about GMing; you never know what's going to happen next! (Yes, this is true of playing also. Shush.)
In this particular instance, I wasn't expecting a gun battle in the docks of Qoyawayma Station. Then again, I also wasn't expecting Hex to go drinking in a military ( Read more... )
