OMG, I need to get a real life! (That's actually looming on the horizon, so fear not, Self, all this free time you're blowing is going to disappear next week.)
I've got a new fandom addiction:
hp_alternity. It's a wonderfully-fresh HP rpg, which is beginning at the beginning with Harry's first year at Hogwarts, but which is re-imagining the story

I actually just spent a long lunch reading all of the first five days. Haven't really gotten into any of the plots yet, I guess, but at least I can now keep up via alt_player's friends, and read in order.
This seems really well done. And the NA players . . . I assume this is an anonymous game, too?

The NA players... yes, they are playing anonymously, though Peg Kerr wrote in the early stages about the first discussions around the game, so it seems that she and flourish are in from the start. One could guess at others, and perhaps more speculation will emerge as things go forward.
I've been waiting breathlessly for mistful's pdf file to post. I haven't read the recent stories, but I want to have them nestled on my hard-drive for when the fandom nostalgia hits one of these days. I fear that this rpg may unleash a tidal wave of nostalgic indulgence, particularly as I am staring at the start of a two-composition-section quarter in a week. There will surely be times when I collapse from reading earnest or desperate student essays and need THIS!
*offers you a cold compress*
You are very welcome. Of course, you know that I was specifically baiting you, because I would dearly like to have you participate at alt_fen. It wouldn't be nearly so fun without you.

I have made a vow not to join alt_fen for at least 48 hours. Sort of like a handgun waiting period, with the same intention of reducing mischief, or at least making doubly sure one actually wants to commit it.
