Goals for Winter Break

1. Make money - and save money.

2. Get back into shape.

3. Read Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude, Haruki Murakami’s The Wind-up Bird Chronicles, and Jhumpa Lahiri’s Unaccustomed Earth. Maybe also Murakami’s After Dark.

4. Give necessary and proper good byes.

I wrote this poem more than a month ago for a class assignment. I just got it back from my professor with good feedback. So I thought I'd share it, see how I feel putting it in a public place.

Mammoth got 3 inches of snow this weekend! Definitely a good sign. Such a mood booster.

Last week was particularly stressful for me. Luckily, I was still able to sleep relatively well. I will now prove that statement.

I’m starting to identify myself as a writer. I’m realizing more and more how important writing is to me.
