I absolutely think he's already said ILY before. It makes no sense why else he said "About time" to Laura's major revelation. So I'm totally with you on that and anxious for part 3!

I totally agree. One could even argue that he has said ILY with what he's read to her -- though I'd like to hear the actual words from him (so I wrote it, lol). Thanks so much for your comments -- love them.

Absolutely brilliant, as usual. :D Had me smiling and snickering and squeeing at the same time (in a public place, no less). I love the picture of them adjusting to each other. Awesome way to work in The Shirt, LOL. :D And Bill, aware of every detail, but not showing it.
Most of all, I adore your dialogue, and these beautiful (funny, frank, real) conversations that are long overdue in canon.
On the 'About time' thing, I totally agree he'd told her before. There's something about the look on his face... :)

Hee, I couldn't resist working in the "boob shirt". How Bill manages to function when she's wearing that I have no idea.

Thank you especially for your comments on my dialogue -- I find that the hardest to write, and even though part of the dialogue here belongs to TJ, there was a lot of mine here too. So glad it worked for you.

This is so great! I am loving this fic. And I totally agree with your Hub assessment - even watching it at the time I figured the "about time" referred to the time it took Laura to say it back. Looking forward to part III!

I remember when I watched it, my heart sinking just a little (I'm a Star Wars fan so I picked up on the hommage right away). I find now when I watch the scene (*cough* multiple times), I pay more attention to their physical reactions (you can see how much what she said meant to him in his face). I thought Mary delivered the "I love you" so well, I just think the writers made a bad choice.
