Recently, Zach bought a vinyl copy of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band doing a live show in Detroit. It includes a song I enjoy, The Fire Down Below. Tonight I learned that it is A) about the commonplace nature of prostitution and B) mentions Berkeley. Neat, huh?

I found this while I was digging through old text docs. Maybe I posted it a long time ago, I'm not sure. I wrote it when I was living in San Diego, working at starbucks and attending that tiny school. It's a total rip of Rick Moody's "Boys." Today, when the squirrel ran past my window (like it always does), it was soaking wet. It's tail was small, pressed down by the water, but it didn't seem to mind. I took comfort in this.

I am totally proud of this. It took me a long time (more than four of Penn Jillette's radio shows via podcasts) and it tastes super good.
