I've upped my amount of thesis reading to a-whole-hell-of-a-lot per day. I'm usually too cynical for political pundits, but this hit home, maybe because of all the US history.

This is an example from my French textbook:

or

I put a star next to it.

It is definitely Fall. It's more difficult to tell in Berkeley than in Ohio, the cold comes on more subtly and leaves don't change as much. There's a smell that's missing too (the smell of Fall?), but I don't think I can pin down the source. My credit card expired so the company sent me a new one. I just called to activate it and, honestly, I don't know if I was talking with a human or one of those automated voice things. I talked with him (or it) for about seven minutes.

How creepy is that?

I have a French paper that is A) really easy, but B) going to take me about a million hours to complete. That's because I suck at thinking in French. Instead, I compose elegant and nuanced phrases in English then try to translate them into French. This makes my paper a total mess, filled with good intent but lacking grammar.
