I'm so delighted to hear that the HVAC people didn't suddenly find out that the parts they needed were on backorder (been there, hated the t-shirt).

Not to rub it in, but today we're having lovely cooling Indian summer. No fear though, I'm sure teh temps will shoot back up into the 90s or more at least one more time before the real autumn.

Hugs and congratulations on working technology!

There was a dodgy moment near the end where the unit didn't work because one tech didn't realize he hadn't hooked up one last wire -- but this was an easy fix.

HURRAH for your cool September weather! It's actually been cooler than normal here this weekend for the high temperatures, but the humidity is hellish. And the heat will come back...

Hugs hugs!

LOL, we are a lot alike. I hate MP3 players, even though I've had several. Give me radio! And yes, those nights of hiding your transistor radio under your pillow...you could almost always get that New Orleans station, which just sounded so exotic to me!

Funny, since I've gotten the AC fixed, I'm really flirting with how much I can do without it. It's been pretty cool at night, so I'm trying to turn it off and just make do with fans. But it's important that I know I CAN turn it on if I want to :).

I had to look up why AM stations' signals traveled so far at night -- it's cool, and how neat that you got a New Orleans station!

I am awed by your restraint with your AC. Because I'm so over heat I've been flirting with setting the thermostat a degree lower, but somehow I haven't done it.

Oh, L. The horror of no a/c in Florida in this dreadful season...so terrible. So glad all that is over! Yay for persevering!

It was bad. But it's over, yay! And the past two mornings have been harbingers of good things to come. :)

Hugs!

I'm glad you have new A/C and the storm wasn't too horrible.
