This first post is of my family on my maternal grandmother's side. Nothing to do with previous family stories. I redecorated an album my grandmother had, so I had these pictures for a few months. I used my camera to take pictures of the pictures; 15 of them are under the cut (thumbnails).

for some reason i totally dig pearl. the pictures make her seem really adventurous and independent. that plus the gory stories and i can imagine her as the kind of person i would like to meet. perhaps im strange.

hollywood grandma is also awesome.

oh and also, my grandfather killed himself in about the same way. my grandmother and uncle were home. but he was a very kind person. i think he somehow thought he was doing them a favor, or maybe he was just sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Great pictures. There are a surprising amount of candid shots for those times. I love the third picture of Pearl and the glam shots of Grandma.
