I just love these two guys - both so complicated and real. I don't have a lot of personal experience with the subject matter, but I think the emotions underlying their issues are universal, and you convey them so well. I wanted to hug Jack for bringing Ennis the pizza, a really sweet moment. And Ennis opening up to Jack with the poem was incredibly moving.

(I hope you don't mind if I point out a little continuity hiccup - Ennis wakes up wearing a pair of gray sweatpants - but when he's in Jack's apartment before he changes he sticks his hand inside the right pocket of his jeans - did I miss something?)

Lovely to see them getting close; but, of course, I can see that there would be issues with them getting too close - interesting to see how this plays out! Thanks :)

I liked the line when Ennis spots a small tube of KY jelly in Jack's drawer "he didn't know how much more his penis or he could take". *LOL*. So like the teenage boy that he is!
But seriously, I think he is learning to trust Jack and that he is there for him. Now Jack has got to get him to trust and open up to other people for his own good.
Very engrossing story and I am enjoying it immensely. Thanks.

I'm having a very difficult time trying to figure out Jack. He seems to be quite a professional and yet I think he is tempting Ennis at some point but, I can't really tell if he does it to win his trust or because he is feeling something unique about him.
I love the way you're writing this story and this characters and your frequent updates only makes the whole thing better! :))

This story is giving goosebumps in a very good way, it´s so exciting and captivating and all these ups and downs in Ennis´ emotions, his quick changes in feelings and attitude feel so real and compelling. From affection to lust to defense to rejection to trust and honesty, all of it so compassionately, enthrallingly and intensly written that it makes my heart ache for Ennis, his horrible past and the way he had been treated in his relatively short life so far.
