•Law orderly. The two-hour 18th-season premiere of NBC's Law & Order Wednesday arrested 13.5 million viewers, its best numbers since May 2006, the show's last airing on that night before being banished to Fridays.

The original "Law & Order" series returns tonight to NBC at 9:00 p.m. EST/8:00 p.m. CST, in a splashy two-hour, two-episode premiere, complete with new cast members and longtime cast member Sam Waterston's ADA character getting a promotion.
