Well I got my latest Chinese test results. Not too good. I got an 83 on my reading and an 89.5 on my listening. I passed (thank God), but was on the low end for the class rankings. Oh well, must study harder ( Read more... )

I picked up the new Stephen Lynch CD: "The Craig Machine" It turns out that some of the songs are from his "Live at the El Ray" DVD (such as Craig Christ, The Love Song, and Ugly Baby). The CD is, of course, hilarious. :)

I hadn't listened to my Stephen Lynch CDs in a while, so I decided to listen to some of the songs today. That made me think about what he had coming up, and checking his website I found out that he has a new CD coming out...tomorrow (Tuesday!)

So this weekend I went and saw Serenity twice (even better the second time), and since then I've gotten at least 4 people hooked on the TV show. It may be a while before I get my TV set back, as I've got quite a few people asking to borrow it now. It's a good thing I went through the series again just before the movie. :)

Everyone must go watch Serenity now! (no, that isn't a Serenity Now! reference).

So I've gotten 2 (of 3) test scores back. I got an 83 on my listening and a 93 on my speaking. 8 people (out of 15 total) failed the listening test, so my score of 83 is actually pretty good. I also scored in the top 5 for my speaking. There was a problem with the reading test (some bad questions) so we had to retake part of it on Friday. ( Read more... )
