Here's how I did in yesterday's half-marathon in Charlotte. My official time was 1:38:24 (my watch time was 1:37:36...it took a minute to get up to the start line since there were so many people). I ran a 10K (6.2 miles) race this morning here in Fayetteville. The last 10K I ran was in December (I ran it in 50:56). This morning I ran the race in 45:25 (about a 7:20/mile pace). I'm very pleased with my performance, as I've got a nasty cold that's been bothering me for 3 days now. I came in 15th overall out of 171 racers, and I placed 3rd ( Read more... )

I went to the movies twice this weekend. I saw Smoking Aces (decent movie with a bit too much "style" for its own good) and The Pursuit of Happyness (great movie, though you know everything that happens if you've seen a trailer for it). 2 more days until I leave Arizona (hopefully) for good. I graduate tomorrow, then head out Friday morning. I figure it'll take me about 4 days to get to North Carolina. Sigh. Just got my new orders. I'm not going to Hawaii like I thought. I'm going to Ft. Bragg, NC instead. I'm gonna miss the West Coast. :(

Ugh, it is hot out here in Arizona. I think we're in the low 90s today. Thankfully I haven't burned too badly out here (though I end up going through a lot of sunscreen and chapstick).

Class is going well here, though it can be tough. We're starting into the fun stuff now though.
