Transformers 3

Due to LJ being a PITA, I probably missed the warnings. But I went to see Transformers 3 last night with the family. The first movie was kick-ass awesome. The second was a "Ha ha. What the hell was that? Lame." But this one? Well, I read an article on how the director, Micheal Bay, was trying to redeem the Transformer name with the third one. He ( Read more... )

So... you didn't think it was the best movie ever, eh?

I was a little subtle, wasn't I? I always have that problem. I sometimes don't let others know when I'm unhappy.

This would be why I so seldom go to sequels of movies that I thought were awesome-they're rarely that good.

I lost it when I heard Nimoy's voice say "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" (a line from ST2-Wrath of Khan). And when the beheading happened and someone says "There can only be one" (Highlander). Seriously, the writers should be shot. Mixing genres like that? I mean seriously, the next thing I expected to hear and nearly did was "I have been and always will be your friend, Jim" Nimoy LOWERED himself to voice the line he did and I am also disappointed. I posted about it on FB briefly. You might have missed it.

Yeah, I totally missed it on FB.
I caught the Highlander reference, too. The wife and I looked at each other with rolling eyes at that one. Hell, by the end of it, my eyes hurt and I was out of breath from all the eye rolling and huffing I was doing.
I was thoroughly embarrassed for Nimoy. When his voice popped up, I was already pissed off and that just added to it. And why did Malkovitch join in that travesty? Ugh! Michael Bay should be blacklisted for that. But he won't because he duped us into seeing it and made the studio a nice bundle. Double ugh!

I had downloaded the movie to watch and omg, I wish I had just listened to you! I never have wanted to cry so much about a movie that wasn't because of someone dying than I did with T3. I just want to bleach my brain on the oh so not subtle awfulness of it!

Gah, I know, right? It sucked dirty balls. It's rare I'm ready to walk out of a movie, (like, once before and it was a Beethoven sequel, so you can imagine how long ago that was) but that one did it.

I still haven't gotten my refund check from Mr. "Suck-ass Director" Bay.
