Arrived yesterday. Said they're sorry they missed my party and are catching up with their correspondence while in China. No name on it. No idea who sent it. Strange. My party was 3 months ago. Who apologises that late???

Both yesterday and today I've told people to "turn it off and turn it back on again" as successful solutions to apparently intractable failures of a device to work.

Spot fires made it as far as Doreen so quite close to my parents place in Yarrambat but thankfully stopped short. They were ready with buckets of water everywhere and the extra driveways put in after the last bushfire there in 1980 make their house easy to defend by CFA trucks ( Read more... )

I, along with many other disaffected TEL$TRA workers, am going to be on strike tomorrow (Tuesday 16th) till lunchtime. Free(?) doughnuts and posing for the Media in the Treasury Gardens near the Lansdowne entrance at about 10am.

I might get on telly in a crowd scene... if I can be bothered getting in that early. :)
