I FINALLY was able to get health insurance at the end of October. I made an appointment at the *beginning* of October, since I had proof of eligibility to come, and it still took until the end of January to actually be able to see my new primary care physician, because they're THAT backed up. Ugh. Why are people so awful?
Deeefinitely lost my temper at some complete strangers on my way to work. I was walking a little distance behind these three (really stereotypically stupid seeming freshman-ish) girls and another girl coming down some steps toward us slipped and fell-completely wiping out, and dropping all of her stuff. With internet and cell phone services shut off across Egypt, no one has been able to contact my friend Sara (living in Alexandria, frequently in Cairo).

Ugh, I hurt. Came home from work early because it was too hard to concentrate. I can't really afford to miss work, but I also can't afford to stress this injury more and end up worse off because of it. So, home I went. At least here I can take off my damn bra (it sits in JUST the right spot to be painful) and not have to worry about weird looks. ( Read more... ) -
