I will wake up happy. The majority of my life has been lived under the Bush regime, and so January will really be a brand new day.

So, today I placed 8th in Mixed Sabre. Probably one of my greatest fencing accomplishments to date. Because, yes, I have placed higher, but only in women's events. Since my freshman year, only one woman has ever broken the top 8 in a mixed event. I sometimes have this feeling, that I'm not actually any good at making friends, and that all my friends are my friends sort of as a result of outside factors, i.e. fencing or Gigglepants.
