I have the annoyance of atypical tinnitus with an added dose of hypersensitivity.

I've been fairly good at managing it over the last 10 years.

When I ride the push bike, I generally have a smile, or an attempt to smile as I catch my breath at some segments...

And I try hard to say good morning or hello to the people I pass.

And I do it because sometimes, just sometimes, they'll smile back.

I am against animal cruelty, but I'm not going to change my icon photo for a month to "raise awareness" - I'll donate my money or time to SPCA or the Disabled Animals Welfare Group (chch) or help spread the word when thinks like Clark Kent from City Kitties Rescue comes up, and give a few $$ to people who do have animals that suddenly become VERY  ( Read more... )

I have this amazing friend. She is all sorts of awesome, as anyone who reads her LJ or knows her in person can attest.

I just read about someone who had an iron reading of 6.7 being admitted into hospital to bring it back up - wtf? I've had readings of 4 before  (I don't remember if I've ever had a reading in double digits) and all they say is to take iron tablets - do NZers take things more casually than the US?
