Actually, on second though, Viacom owns everything.  And really, I mean everything.  So boycotting them really isn't

so, the MPR classical music host just said that Fanfare for the Common Man was the inspiration for We Will Rock You, by "Kiss."  Not only do I fail to see the resemblance, but come on, who doesn't know that's Queen?  Really?  These people know the most random, obscure minutiae about obsolete musicians and composers, but one of the most popular rock ( Read more... )

I still say that hate speech has no place in a community where you are trying to foster a sense of safety and acceptance for all members.  It also doesn't help that it's pride week on campus, and they decided to spend our activity fee on a truly despicable person.

Apparently Missouri always predicts the eventual winner of the presidency.  After living there for 18 years, this comes as big surprise to me.  Anyway, before the results came in tonight, I told Marissa exactly what 5 counties Obama would win, and that those 5 counties alone would dictate the outcome, and that it would happen at the last minute ( Read more... )
