The SGABigbang Challenge

Aug 15, 2008 20:49

I did 3 pieces for the sgabigbang challenge (website is here) for 3 (John/Rodney)stories. The original versions of the art on the website are here: Midnight Confession, Mirror Image and This thing between us, all art G or PG rated, for a total of 3 Rodneys and 5 Johns (one naked, and one about as emotional as I could make him *g*).

It was kinda self indulgent to be able to paint John & Rodney like this.

Well these are just gorgeous! Your Second Chance illustration made me go read that fic - and the top one 'midnight confessions' is making me want to go read Guilty Until Proven now too! Beautiful :)

These are lovely -.I think my favourite has to be 'Second Chances' simply because I adore John with a beard.

Lucky the show has some pretty shots of him with a beard so I had something for a reference!

Gorgeous artwork. The colors, skin tone and shading are wonderfully done. You've done an excellent job capturing their likenesses. I love the emotion spilling out of John's eyes in the first one. The second one has a wonderful composition and just begs the viewer to go read the story and find out what is going on. The last one seems moody and intense. All in all, great work.

Thank you. I love portraits, and this time round it was great to have a chance to play with both simple poses and more complex designs, too. (so glad the Mirror Image composition worked!)
