Last evening I went out with the girls and it felt good and I really enjoyed myself. For a while now, I have been feeling sort of isolated and out of touch with many people. But, last night was different and I was happy in the moment. It felt good to join the human race again!

With all the obvious reasons aside, sometimes it is difficult to parent a child who has cancer. My four year old just had his monthly clinic visit. These once a month visits mark the beginning of his cycle of chemotherapy. It feels like being back to square one. I have so much to write, but i think i will save it for my journal. I have learned so much and am so excited to be putting these lessons into play in my life. I know that a truth is a truth and has little to do with perceptions or opinions. I been having such moments of clarity that have been so empowering to me. I cannot sleep and havent been able to for a while. Well, actually I can fall asleep just fine cuz I am usually so exhausted. But, I end up waking up throughout the night and not being able to go back to sleep. Lance is leaving to go back east for four nights. I will get a small taste of what a single mother goes through. I am going solo, baby. I am hoping the kids will work with me. Wish me luck!!!

We are heading up to Childrens hospital for Rhyss monthly appointment. Today we get blood counts taken, a physical done, and get chemo via his subdermal port. Every three months they put him under to give him chemo in his spinal fluid. And every appointment marks the beginning of a new cycle of chemo. we just dropped our boy off. It is his first day of preschool! I cant believe he is getting so big! We hung around for a bit, but he was doing just fine so we left. Our girl didnt understand why she couldnt stay at preschool with her brother.
