Review and Revamp
We've been back in Australia for just over a year now. It's a little over a year for me, and exactly a year for my beloved husband. So what do we miss about the UK? Outings
Friday evening we went skating outdoors. Yes, you heard that right folks, outdoors, in Sydney! Stuff
As usual, a lot of catching up to do.
Firstly, you'll all be pleased to hear that I love my new job. I have real responsibility again, and I'm no longer spending my days clock watching. Shopping
So as I'm starting a new job next week I thought I would buy some new clothes so I could try and look a bit smart. Skating Progress
So I genuinely managed to astonish our skating coach this evening. We were doing the end pattern of the Fiesta Tango, which involves (for those not in the know) a turn from forwards to backwards, also changing from one foot to the other, followed by a few further backwards steps and then a step to return to forwards. Could I be actually improving?
A strange thing seems to be happening with my skating. It seems to be...improving. It's incremental, admittedly, but things that seemed impossible three weeks ago, are now, whilst not necessarily easy, are at least doable. Riverdance
We went to see Riverdance last Sunday night. It was being billed as the 'Farewell Tour', so I decided I might actually want to go. It wasn't that I didn't want to see it before, just that even though I liked what I'd seen of it on TV, I was a bit ambivalent about seeing it live.
