Yo, 'Hime, I tried knockin' on your door earlier, but no one answered.

Temari lent me some cool flick and it's got a lotta badass gun fights in it--plus it's got Andy Lau, so it has to be rockin'. Drop me a line if you wanna watch it; I got a meet tomorrow and I suspect I'm gonna be gone most of the day ( Read more... )

No no, the curry was so hot it necessitated eatin' the popsicles. I left the banana ones though. I hate those.

Next time you burn yourself, stick a piece of bread in your mouth.

Really, it works.

What are you studying in ethics, if you care to talk about it? I've noticed it comes up now and then in your journals...

We've hardly met, but I had metaethics last semester and have taken several other ethics classes before. If you ever want to discuss the topic, I'm sure I still recall enough to help with study.

You that new guy? Ain't really talked to you before. Huh.

It's actually just a required class; I'm really a criminal justice major. Class is based more on the idea of utopia and how utopia can be achieved--and why it hasn't been (i.e. do the ends justify the means, eugenics, euthanasia, totalitarianism). Been readin' Plato, More, Bellamy, Skinner, etc.

Yes, I'm among the new guys... I moved in last month. Gekko Hayate, apartment 21.

Criminal justice is certainly an undertaking. I wish you well. I'm told it can be frustrating and a lot of work.

Ah, yes. The baser aspects of human nature versus the utopian ideal. Better than Kant but not quite as enjoyable as Mill or Bentham. The offer stands if ever you do feel inclined to study with someone.

Everythin' in life can be frustratin'. Just a matter of stickin' with it. I ain't much for philosophy or anythin', but, I've been readin' a lot about the whole übermensch idea. New Jerusalem and all that.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
