Little things like the name of my journal are constant annoyances, the sort of thing that makes you reluctant to actually do the writing bit. It's like having to go out in public, except the only clean shirt is that one shirt you absolutely hate. -

After 6 1/2 hours of what felt like "brain surgery with a screwdriver," I've finished building my new computer. I never want to have to do that again.

This probably couldn't come to me at a better time. I might have something of a bias toward the opinions of Christopher Hitchens, but I've disagreed with him before. Not here - this is exactly the kind of news and long-thinking commentary that I needed to hear after the recent half-formed essay I posted. -
Disjointed thoughts on Violent Liberation
I find myself still in favor of the wars in (it does not sit well with me to use the Hitchensian term 'liberation of') Iraq and Afghanistan. My thoughts on it have colored very much of my political thinking, as they've been fought for most of my politically aware life, and the threat of them has loomed over my entire conscious life.
