Today is a very, very good day.

First the bad: I appear to have mono. Ugh. My throat hurts worse than when I had strep, and I'm *exhausted*. My muscles ache, my fever is high-ish, and I've ceased to make sense. Also, I'm depressed, but let's not focus on that for the moment.

Someone on the board of a grant-deciding body liked a proposal I wrote so much that she wants permission to use it as an example to her staff. I'm pretty proud of that.

On the downside, I haven't slept well in days, and I think I may have strep throat. And I'm down down down.

Here's the scoop. I've been so busy lately that I sometimes forget to eat dinner. Between work, craft stuff, and the play, I can hardly keep up with myself. The play closes tomorrow, though, and I teach a class on Sunday. Once both are done, I'll have a little time to breathe. Until then, you'll just have to deal with your Brigid withdrawls. Today is my birthday.

Happy birthday to me.

I use trips as an excuse to eat piles of delicious junk. This weekend that included, but was not limited to: pasta, chocolate, ice cream, French bread, butter and cake. I went to Eureka Springs expecting a mini-Santa Fe. What I found was, well, Arkansas's answer to such a place. All the same, I had a wonderful time. Our cottage, the Belladonna, was wonderfully serene. The weather was gorgeous every single day. I spotted 16 deer on the road between the cottage and the downtown area.
