Lights on the Tree
There are lights on the tree, and the beginning of holiday decorations. I've survived (and enjoyed) two parties and am making progress on the Caroling party that is rapidly approaching. The traditional opening of the Holiday Party Season is a Fancy Dress party hosted by friends. It was, as always, a good beginning to the season. Reading List Recommendations
The Bit has reached the age where she wants chapter books. We've gone through The Hobbit, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, all three Dragonbreath books, and several Ramona books. She's working through Howl's Moving Castle right now. I need recommendations. What should I get to read to my daughter? -
Fall, Cooking, Pumpkins and Doom
1) There are way too many nifty "Halloween-Themed Treat" recipes out there. I can not possibly make them all, and yet I want too.
2) Carving pumpkins while cooking 3+ dinners = Doom for the Kitchen.

Royalty For Dinner
This evening, my daughter took an unexpected trip to Egypt. In return, we were hosts to Princess Amelia of Egypt who wore a lovely pink dress of stars (a blanket) and an exquisite crown (pink construction paper) that she had inherited from her mother -- which is why it was a bit too large. Clean Drinking Water Donations
