Too Busy to Blog
Children and games and selling the house and spring and...everything had eaten my head and taken time away from journals. I'll try a longer summation later this week, but for right now, I'm posting mostly to see if there's anyone in Minnesota willing to offer me crash-space over the weekend of September 5th. -
Unexpected Saturday
The day, while not filled with Thwart, has been filled with "So Close...well, okay." D's Tae Kwan Do class was having a belt test, so there was no class today. OTOH, we managed to get her signed up and buy a uniform, so she goes to her first class on Wednesday ( Read more... ) -
Office Suffering
It's somewhere over a bazillion degrees in my office right now which is sapping the life out of my will to work. Furthermore, I want to be at home working on the Irish folk-songs that the Rat and I are planning to sing for the Bit's school in a few weeks, and I want to look up my notes on I, Robot and post them for Book Club discussion. Busy, but in a Good Way
I'm about to run off to take the Bit to her gymnastics class. The weekend looks to be lovely, and I ought to update more, but I'm out of time.

Snow!
There's about three inches of wet, heavy snow on my deck, and it's still coming down, albeit lightly now. We got out, built a small snowman and threw some snowballs. It's utterly gorgeous outside right now.

Is Too Much
Let me sum up.
Weekend = good. Gaming went OMG too late on both Friday and Saturday, but it was still a lot of fun. The session was good -- although I do wish things would stop trying to eat my head -- and filled with fine and pleasant company.

Cooking Invasion at Chez Maurer this Saturday. Beef or Vegetable stew and cornbread is the tentative menu! -

In which the Georgia Native Whines
The cold. I am done with it. I spent my four years in Minnesota. I know how to cope with the cold. I also know that I Just Don't Like It. I don't want to have to put on three layers to stay warm; I don't want to have to wear a giant parka while driving in my car. I don't like wearing gloves to pump gas, and I hate the static electric build-up ( Read more... )
