Slide #9
This is my least favorite slide. I simply didn't like it - its existence merely served as a transition from flashback to now. It was the second last piece I painted for the movie, and was done in a rush. I remember it was the last week before the due date, and I had only a day to finish this and slide #11 in order to leave myself sufficient time for the flash movie. So, yeah, didn't put much heart in it. :-(
Slide #10
I like this piece. Although there's problem with the perspective (the face is completely wrong), it's one of my favorite paintings in These Five Years.
Slide #11
This is the last painting I did for the movie. Just like #9, I didn't put much heart in it, and I didn't like it. All I wanted was to finish it and get this craziness over with.
At the later stage of the making of These Five Years, I kept questioning myself on this whole project - whether it's worth putting so much on something I felt highly doubtful about - even though I never thought about giving up. Fortunately it turned out the way I wanted it to be, and I consider myself to be very lucky.
